Communications & Social Media Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to gain hands-on experience with a full range of communications projects. Apply to this role if you are a dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic person who is passionate about content creation and design to help us promote our upcoming projects. The successful candidate will develop and launch exciting digital marketing and social media campaigns to expand our online presence across multiple platforms and increase awareness of our organization.

 

This is a remote working opportunity with flexible hours.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Planning, creating, and implementing digital campaigns to promote our projects

  • Developing written and visual materials (including video) for social media

  • Preparing and monitoring online ads

  • Creating blogs and videos to promote our programs

  • Maintaining consistency and a high standard of quality for all communications

  • Other related duties as needed

 

Candidates must demonstrate:

 

  • Previous communications experience (social media, graphic design, marketing)

  • Experience with video editing

  • Graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Some knowledge of Word Press, or other website platforms

  • Ability to make and keep deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to juggle priorities as needed

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Salary: $18-$20 per hour
